The Diary of a Bag-Lady

I am crazy about nice handbags. It seems to me that I'm not just an admirer of purses, but addicted to them... therefore, honored by the nickname "bag-lady." I used to design my own handbags when I was younger. I remember ripping my perfectly good jeans to make a jean-purse (which i still keep in my closet to remind myself where I first started). Although a chubby tomboy, who admired 'Teenage mutant ninja turtles' and played Mortal Combat for hours, I was a girly girl at heart when I was little. My love for handbags started when I first saw my red-hot baby-doll purse at age 4. I carried that itsy bitsy red purse everywhere. I felt like a grown-up. Later on I constantly borrowed my grandma's, mom's, and aunt's stylish and vintage purses. On many occasions I carried them to school, and my classmates used to make fun of me. (I remember wearing a 2-inch stiletto to class one day and the whole class burst out laughing. Kids are mean. But that's another story for another time though) My style changed dramatically depending on what purse I decided to carry that day. I noticed that for many women, it is the other way around. I always thought that purses and heels were women's signature accesories. At least that was the story until 'murse' (male purse) came out. I have many purses in my collection, both cheap and expensive. Women should realize that it is not the price that makes a purse special, but it is the unmistakably vibrant style. A purse can be $10 but more artistically created than $2,000 one. Although the quality is often associated with the price, I always believe that one can find acceptable price, innovative style, and great quality in a single handbag. So what kind of purses should you have?
What are the characteristics of a real investment?
1. A purse you can see yourself carrying for years.
2. A purse you can fit everything you need.
3. A purse with good straps, that won't snap when you're running down the street.
4. A purse that is light enough with all your things in it.
5. A purse that can be carried during daytime and nighttime.
6. A purse that has a good quality. Shiny fake leather only lasts for 3 years.
  7. A purse that is organized enough with at least two pockets, so you have no trouble finding your keys and lipstick.
Although women don't need many bags, i recommend you to own at least 4 good bags.
Good luck ladies!
