Can't believe it's already fall... Fall is definitely my most favorite season. Here's me on a beautiful fall day... As you may know, i LOVE shawls and big scarves. I always carry one with me. During the fall days, I rock tees and jeans with big shawls... basically that's my everyday fashion. It is simple, comfy, yet classy ;)

MATCHING COLORS: BORING? (answer: yes)
I barely wear matching colors... Obviously outfit colors should match in order to be accepted in society. You don't want to be the crazy person wearing red stockings and a green dress. But trying too hard to match colors is just plain annoying, not creative, and boring. Wearing all shades of blue together or white top and white pants... BORING!! So when I choose my colors, I trust my instincts (mostly) and go for it. These pictures are taken on a day I actually matched my outfit colors. See, the sneakers match my top!! I did this with pure accidental mind, but actually like the way it looks. Because I wore blue in between the purple-ness, it looks ok. What I'm trying to tell you is that too much of anything is bad. If you want to wear all white, then give it a different color with your purse and other accessories to give it that extra umph.

WHAT'S IN YOUR PURSE? (Guest Fashionista - Jordana)
Today's guest fashionista is Jordana. You wont pass her on the street without looking back. She is graceful and her sense of style is remarkable. I had the opportunity to watch her style for the past few weeks, and I am a fan...
1. Who's your fashion inspiration?
My mother and sister. I had the good fortune to be born with okayfashion sense and incredibly fashionable relatives. I steal their
ideas (and their clothes) as often as possible.
2. Any fashion tips for the readers?
Especially in this weather, versatility. I'm all for
work-appropriate length dresses with cardigans on top. After work, you
can take off the cardigan, put on some sandals, and go straight out!
3. If you describe your style in 3 words...
I love colors!
4. What's in your purse?
My purse tends to hold things that fit in three categories: phones,
makeup, food. Personal phone, work phone, mascara, lip gloss, and
whatever random food I'm nibbling on throughout the day. Oh, and my
keys.
5. Must-have item in your purse?
Hard to choose between my lip gloss and my phones. Kind of addicted to both!

WARDROBE RAID: Guest Fashionista Imani
Imani opens up and talks about her style. She is known for her incredibly mysterious yet totally funky style. She calls it mix of bohemian and feminine chic. She once used to be this t-shirt and jeans kind of girl, and transformed into a hopeless fashionista as the years went by. Admirer of the fashion designer Kate Spade, she also says she can't get enough of the fashion line Free People. When I asked Imani who she looks up to as her fashion idol, she said Zoe Kravitz. Also, you will not find her jewelry shopping, why? Because Imani loves her mother's jewelry collection. Although Imani's wardrobe is very bohemian-inspired, she is a girly girl deep inside. Her beloved garment is her beautiful prom dress.

SUMMER DRESS 2.0 PART II
This dress is one my favorite because of its simplicity. Without the belt, the dress itself is very plain... and that's okay. But I always wear it with different fun belts just to give it a little color. Today, i donned a cute electric pink, very thin belt. Also the dress conveniently has pockets on the sides. Accessories here include giant lime green shell earrings and platform heels.

WHAT'S IN YOUR PURSE? (Guest Fashionista - Michell)
Today, Michell shares her fashion tips with us. Her Louis carries her essentials and we get to see them.
Three words that describe your style: Whimsical, practical, and sophisticated
Your fashion icon: Don't really have one but I get inspiration from mannequins in the store or catalogs
What's in your Louis?: iPhone, wallet, hand sanitizer, lipgloss, Chapstick, umbrella, tissues, pens, gum, mirror, breath mints
Must-have item in your purse: Phone! I don't know what I'd do without it
This fashionista really knows what to pack!!
Preppy is BORING.
I decided to rock some preppy fashion today... and failed miserably. The reason: I didn't feel preppy enough. Sometime in the past i've been into the whole "preppy" thing... wearing preppy pink and preppy plates. Maybe that was because I was friends with some pretty serious preps. Anyway, I didn't want to waste this perfectly clean and almost new polo. The whole time i was wearing this today though, I just felt out of place. Two high school seniors came over to talk to me. I mean... what the hell?!! To make my outfit extra preppy (i guess i subconsciously did it), I wore a polk-dotted pink cotton belt. Yep, you read that right. haha. Anyway, I realize now that it is so not me. You will not catch me all preppy ever again.

Summer Fashion 101: MINI SKIRT + TANK TOP
It was a warm day out today... This outfit seemed perfect! It was dressy enough for the meetings I attended and breezy enough for the DC heat. I particularly love the colors... This tank top (aka wife-beater) is my favorite. Although tight and stretchy, it is anything but uncomfortable. I'm wearing it for the past four years, and still love it. It goes with everything. Now, let's talk about this cute skirt. I absolutely love the shape and the color. It is probably one of the simplest and cheapest piece of clothing I own, but it looks so chic... and that's how everyone should build their wardrobe - not a lot of expensive and tacky clothes, but few cute and inexpensive ones.

Rompers: Beach-must or Trend-setter?
I collect scarves... In my opinion, they are fashion must-haves. Not only wear them around my neck and head, on my shoulder, I also decorate my purses. I think it is absolutely timeless. Usually silk scarves give that extra umph to a cute purse. So ladies, let's transform our rompers ;)

FASHION DECISIONS
My everyday fashion involves quick decisions. I've never been that girl who decides her outfit the night before... I choose mine literally 15 minutes before leaving my house. I look out the window and basically go from there. It was a beautiful day today, so i decided to wear something fun and light. I love the color lime green and I love stripes... which means this is my perfect shirt! I rocked my short shorts (you know your shorts is short when you can see the pockets hanging out) Just to give an unexpected twist to my outfit, i wore my signature hairstyle and my beloved ballet flats. I recently cut my hair, but it is still long enough to put it in a high bun. My accessories are very "floral"... thin gold floral necklace and bracelets. Some may find my style very "undecided", mixed jumble of different shapes and patterns... But that's the beauty of having your own voice when it comes to fashion. What you should wear got to be completely your choice. not fashion magazine's. but your's.
